The Journal of Research and Methodology in Education (JRME) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to publishing articles on the development, evaluation, and application of educational research methodologies. Its scope encompasses educational research designs; quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods; instrument development, adaptation, and validation; measurement and psychometrics; sampling and data collection techniques; data analysis; action research, program evaluation, and design-based research; systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses; digital research methods and learning analytics; as well as ethics, transparency, reproducibility, and open science in educational research. Studies may span various educational levels, contexts, and disciplines, provided they offer a clear methodological contribution. JRME was launched in 2025 and is published electronically three times a year in April, August, and December by the Institute for Research and Community Service (Institute for Research and Community Service or LPPM) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Brebes. JRME employs a peer-review process and provides open access to all its articles.
