Abstrak

Physical education in elementary schools not only plays a role in developing students' physical abilities but also contributes to their social development. One learning approach considered capable of supporting students' social development is the outdoor learning model. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of the outdoor learning model in physical education on the social development of elementary school students based on the results of previous research. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. The research data are sourced from scientific articles relevant to the topic of outdoor learning in physical education and the social development of elementary school students. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation, while data analysis uses content analysis by identifying, comparing, and synthesizing the main findings from each article. The results of the study indicate that the outdoor learning model in physical education has a positive impact on the social development of elementary school students, including improving cooperation, communication, responsibility, independence, and mutual respect among students. Outdoor learning also contributes to the formation of students' social character through contextual learning experiences based on physical activity. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the outdoor learning model is suitable as an alternative physical education learning strategy in elementary schools to support optimal student social development.
